Eagles (2-0) at Cardinals (2-0)
The Eagles have scraped on by the skin of their teeth. They haven’t
don’t anything too special, they haven’t looked too good, they’ve done
everything just enough. Michael Vick hasn’t been good. He hasn’t been
consistent, he hasn’t been something to fear. The Cardinals have been almost
exactly the same, except they weren’t supposed to be good and they have had two
good wins. Right now I fear a team that can hold the Patriots offense in check
more than a team that beats the Browns by one.

Falcons (2-0) at Chargers (2-0)
The Falcons, in my eyes, are a top three team in the NFL.
They have every weapon imaginable on offense, two stud WRs, a timeless TE,
threatening RBs and a QB who is turning a new chapter in Atlanta. Their defense
is nothing short of great. But the no huddle offense and keeping opposing
defenses on the field seems to be the best thing Atlanta has going. The
Chargers are another team that looks great and they haven’t been completely
healthy this year, let alone years past. If Ryan Matthews and Antonio Gates can
become healthy for once and give Rivers a competitive offense this team can go
very far. I think Atlanta’s defense is a bit too strong for Rivers and a
rebounding offense today.

Texans (2-0) at Broncos (1-1)
The Texans are looking healthy, and they are looking very
dangerous. Not only is Arian Foster healthy but Ben Tate is making sure every
touch he gets is a worthwhile carry. The defense may have lost Super Mario, but
they have replaced him with great fill in draft picks. The Broncos and Peyton
Manning are a team that should be feared, and once everyone on the offense gets
used to Peyton’s audibles. Week one they looked great, but last week made it
look like they still have a few more games until it’s all going to click.
Texans 27 – Broncos 24
Steelers (1-1) at Raiders (0-2)
The Steelers and Big Ben last week did what the Steelers are
supposed to do. They dropped the Steel Curtain down on the Jets offense and
destroyed the hype that New York was buying into. They still don’t have
Mendenhall back, but it looks like Wallace is slowly getting back into the good
graces of Steelers nation and Big Ben’s big arm. The Raiders have been quiet to
start the season, they have two losses, and not much to show for it. I think
today is the day that Darren McFadden goes off. He hasn’t had normal yardage on
the ground, despite some through the air, but I think that changes against a
team that is going to be focused on trying to force interceptions from Carson
Palmer.
